What: Portrait Fund Drive
Where: Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department
More info: The Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department is currently conduction its portrait fund drive.
For the next several weeks, families in the service area will be contacted by phone or mail and asked to make a donation.
Each family making a donation of any amount will receive an 8x10 family portrait, compliments of the Gladstone VFD.
Proceeds are going toward paying off the truck loan.

What: Virginia State Capitol Tour
More info: The Nelson county Historical Society is sponsoring a Saturday spring tour to Richmond and will be leaving Lovingston at 8 a.m.
A special guided tour of the newly renovated capitol by Jim Wootten, executive director, Capitol Square Foundation, will be the highlight of the day trip.
A catered lunch for $7 to $10 is being arranged at the capitol for the group.
Everyone is welcome, you do not have to be a society member. Cost is $20 plus lunch.

More info: This free service is for low and moderate-income taxpayers. Volunteer preparers are trained to prepare most tax returns.

Information for all deductions and credits
A copy of 2006 federal and Virginia state returns.
