Below is a list of crimes being investigated by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.
Breaking and Entering, Taylor Store Road, May 14. A generator and water pump were taken.
Larceny, Bowling Drive, Arrington, May 14. An undisclosed amount of cash and money orders were taken.
Breaking and Entering, Williamstown Road, Arrington, May 20. Nothing was reported missing.
Larceny, Piney Hill Lane, May 22. An antique metal table, a saw and an iron were taken.
Breaking and Entering, Walk Around Lane, Roseland, May 25. A pole saw and an air conditioning unit were taken.
Larceny, High Peak Lane, Shipman, May 28. A wheel barrel, copper, an umbrella and a DVD player were taken.
Attempted Breaking and Entering, Patrick Henry Highway, Roseland, May 30. The door jamb was broken.
Attempted Breaking and Entering, Variety Mills Road, Arrington, May 31. A metal box style light with a pull chain was broken.
Note:
Local law enforcement attended graduation ceremonies for Tye River and Rockfish Head Start held at the Nelson Center on May 27 and May 28. The students learned about gun safety from Lt. Larry Cindrick. Gun locks were distributed to the parents by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to promote gun safety.
