Veterans of Foreign Wars to hold annual dinner

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7701 in Colleen will hold its annual dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday at the post on Va. 655 in Colleen.
The program begins with a flag-disposal ceremony at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner of ham or chicken, salad, beverages and coffee, said E.C. Perdue, the post service officer. Covered dishes are welcome.
After dinner, the post will present certificates to a firefighter, a rescue squad responder, a law enforcement officer and a Nelson County citizen.
The dinner is free and open to the public.
