Planning Commission requests ‘wood yard’ be included in county’s zoning ordinance
The Nelson County Planning Commission on Dec. 17 recommended that the county supervisors amend the county’s zoning ordinance on to include the definition of a “wood yard.”

The Nelson County Planning Commission recommended in a Dec. 17 meeting that the county supervisors approve a request by one of the supervisors to rezone nearly three acres of land near the intersection of Rockfish Valley Highway and Tanbark Drive in Afton, from residential to agricultural.

The bodies of two Nelson County residents killed in last week’s Mumbai terrorist attack will be returned home and plans for a memorial service are being made, according to a message on the Synchronicity Foundation’s Web site.

Relay for Life exceeding goal
