Nelson girls compete in Group A State outdoor track meet

The Govs competed in the Group A State track meet at Radford University on May 31.

Briana Ross finished fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.54. Fiona Jones finished ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:36.03.

Kate Collins was 10th in 100 hurdles. Her time was 17.34. Arielle Giles finished 23rd in the shot put, throwing 30 feet, 4 inches.

The girls 400-meter relay was 13th in a time of 54.00 seconds. Kate Colllins, Megan Graves, Megan Campbell and Briana Ross made up the 400-meter relay.
